Commissioned for the program "Alla breve", performed by the French National Orchestra, conducted by Ankush Bahl.
The recording session was held at Alfortville (France) on April 9. It was really amazing!

Ma nouvelle pièce « MEMORIUM III for Orchestra », commande de la Radio France, sera diffusée sur France Musique dans l'émission "Alla breve".
L'enregistrement a eu lieu à Alfortville au mardi 9 avril avec l'Orchestre National de France sous la direction d'Ankush Bahl. C'était pour la première fois --- et c'était d'ailleurs une belle expérience --- d'avoir une création "enregistrée", qui est une situation particulière par rapport à celle en concert public. ラジオフランス委嘱のオーケストラ新作『MEMORIUM III』の初演が音楽専門チャンネル France Musique の Alla breve という番組で放送されます。
この委嘱、ちょっと異色でして（ここで笑いを取るつもりはないですが…）
“それぞれ2分間の5楽章形式、トータル演奏時間10分”というコンディション付き。なぜなら
[1] 月曜に1楽章、火曜に2楽章、水曜に3楽章…と、金曜までの5日間に渡ってそれぞれ2分間の楽章ごとに流れ
[2] 日曜深夜（翌月曜）に全楽章つなげた10分間のインテグラル版が放送される
という番組構成だからなのです。
つまり、作曲する側にしてみれば、2分間の楽章ごとバラで聴いても、一つの10分間の作品として通しで聴いても意味のあるもの（音楽的におもしろいもの）を作れというお題を出されたようなもので。大いに頭を悩ませつつ、でも楽しんで制作に当たりました。
編成に関してはかなり自由で、いくつか提案した企画のうち第一希望だった3管オケで、演奏はフランス国立管弦楽団という素晴らしい機会を戴きました。プロオケとの仕事はロレーヌ管弦楽団、ブリュッセル・フィルに続いて今回で3度目ですが、頭の中で想像し構築した音響世界を楽譜という媒体に起こし、それが実際に音に成るときの感動は言葉に尽くしがたいものがあります。 演奏会形式ではなく、録音→放送による初演というのも初めての経験でした。これについては話すと長くなりそうで、また裏話もいろいろあったりするので、機会を見て別記事に。
